Boots Online Doctor

Boots Online Doctor is the online prescribing service of the Boots pharmacy chain, run by Boots Digital Health Ltd, with prescriptions dispensed by Boots pharmacies for delivery or in-store collection. For weight management it lists the Wegovy pill and Foundayo tablets alongside Wegovy and Mounjaro injections and orlistat. It does not prescribe Rybelsus or Ozempic, saying these should be prioritised for people with type 2 diabetes.

How it works

Consultation

Online questionnaire reviewed by Boots Online Doctor clinicians (doctors, pharmacist prescribers and nurse prescribers). No separate consultation fee is listed: you pay the price of the pack, and payment is refunded if the clinician decides the treatment is not suitable. Home-delivery orders are dispensed by Boots Central Support Pharmacy, Nottingham (GPhC 1096181, named in the Boots Online Doctor FAQ); click-and-collect orders are dispensed by the Boots pharmacy you choose. The service is run by Boots Digital Health Ltd, registered with the CQC (provider 1-10153778719). We found no way to submit a prescription from your own doctor through the online service; Boots high street pharmacies were not checked for this.

Membership

No membership required. Optional one-to-one weight loss coaching costs £46 a month, or £32 a month with treatment.

Delivery

Free delivery for most services by Royal Mail Tracked 48 (aims for 2-3 days after posting), usually no signature needed; or collect from a Boots pharmacy in the UK (not Jersey or Guernsey). The delivery box carries the Boots name but does not say what is inside.
